Sorry for the delay folks. I regretfully missed this one but Greg F. made it and supplied me with the set list. The tour finishes up tomorrow but Buckner’s official page claims “More dates coming soon…” Hopefully he’ll be back out on the road early 2012 for those of us who missed this tour.

” Our Blood, with its tattered, frayed grace, reflects Buckner‘s compellingly listenable, weary yet stubborn poetic journey, for answers to questions — both past and and present, elliptical and enormous –that lie just beyond his grasp.” – Allmusic.com
“Wasted-night rhapsodies that demand you lean in close.” – SPIN.com
“The most concise, driven, and well-considered Buckner album in the last decade.” – Pitchfork.com
“Buckner’s latter day understatement is refreshing in its candor and simplicity.” – Pastemagazine.com
“Our Blood” has been licensed for distribution in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on Decor Records. That version will feature three bonus tracks, some of us may just order the import version huh? Also if you pre-order Our Blood on iTunes it will feature a bonus song “Willow” which I has posted earlier in the year (see below) as “Remember.”
You can currently stream “Our Blood” at npr.org…
“Order now to reserve an autographed copy of Richard Buckner’s new CD OUR BLOOD for only $8.97. Quantities are VERY limited.
Richard Buckner is one of our heroes. Though he may never sell a gazillion records, his many admirers are as devoted as any Bruce, Neil, or Lupe enthusiast.”
Note: This was sent to me in an email from someone at Bull Moose. I put it up here for the sake of those who live in places off the beaten path and don’t get many touring musicians coming through their town. If you go to a Richard Buckner show, I bet he would sign your album for you.
It is my pleasure to tell you fine folks that http://www.richardbuckner.com is back!!
After a couple long years of being redirected to Merge Records’ Richard Buckner artist profile, you will be pleasantly surprised find a few good things going on at Buckner’s “offical website.” Stream songs from the new album “Our Blood” and read the little piece he wrote last month about the making of “Our Blood.” Welcome back Buck!
The new Richard Buckner album will be called “Our Blood” and will be the first Buckner album to be available on vinyl. No release date has been announced. Keep checking back for updates.
If anyone has any pictures from the recent tour that they would like to share please email me. Until next time…
